National Trust for ever, for everyone.

The National Trust has over 3.6 million members and 55,000 volunteers, 14 million people visit National Trust properties with an estimated 50 million visit their open air properties.

Impressive statistics considering the National Trust is a charity and independent of Government. Income is derived from membership fees, legacies and donations and funds raised from commercial operatons.

We all know that the National Trust takes care of historic houses, gardens and ancient monuments - some 350 are protected and opened to the public for our enjoyment. However it does not end there they look after woods, fens, forests, moorland, downs, farmland, archaeological remains, castles, nature reserves, villages - as they say for ever, for everyone.
